Travelling Duck makes it to KL

Travelling Duck makes it to KL

Dubbed the Wagyu of ducks, the Silver Hill ducks from Ireland are now available at Travelling Duck. The premium ducks are roasted London-style, fattier and more flavourful.

Appetisers such as Pan-fried Handmade Chicken Meat Cake with Vietnamese Chilli Sauce – tasted and looked exactly like fish cake, Deep-fried Squid with Salt and Pepper and Deep-fried Crispy Stuffed Beancurd Skin with Typhoon Shelter Chicken Floss kicked off the meal to a great start.

At the resto, the duck is served a la Peking duck, with cucumber  capsicum, spring onion florets, fresh romaine lettuce and spring pancakes. Swipe a wrap with the sweet bean paste, swipe a piece of duck plus the veggies, and pop in mouth in one bite! So totally scrumptious!

You can also have it on its own and the lubricious layer of fat adds to the flavour and mouthfeel of the duck pieces. So, so good!

Not a fan of duck? There’s poached Garlic Soy Sauce  village chicken which pairs well with the basmati rice, cooked in chicken stock.

Was surprised to see Curry Giant Grouper Fish Head with Mixed Vegetable in the menu but not complaining as the aromatic curry gravy and chunks of fish were nicely done, great with white rice. The fish head can be a bit fiddly to get the meat but the fun is in the process.

Generally pretty good food to be had here. If you’ve heard of people talking about eating London duck in UK, well, now we can get it here too.

FYI, Travelling Duck is pork-free.
