Dried Meat is one the most popular Chinese New Year snacks – Oversea’s secret recipe has the BBQ meat grilled over charcoal rather than air-dried for a smokier flavour at RM78 per box. Oversea Restaurant also bakes their own confectionery – Taiwanese Pineapple Tarts at RM55 per box, Oriental Muffin at RM38 for 18 pieces and Hong Kong Style Egg Rolls at RM28.80 per box.
Of course, there’s the famous Char Siew and Siew Yuk, acclaimed as one of the best in town. Cooked to perfection, the crispy skin of the roasted pork cackles and breaks to reveal juicy meat while the glistening barbequed meat has a caramelised skin that is so lip-smacking good, you can’t help but as ask for another bowl of rice to go with it!
